Privacy Policy

Overview

This website is operated by the York-James City-Williamsburg NAACP (“YJCW NAACP”). We respect your privacy and aim to collect as little information as possible.

Information collected through this website

The website does not currently provide accounts, public forms, site-hosted newsletter signups, donations, or payment processing. We do not use the site to create advertising profiles or sell personal information.

Like most websites, our hosting provider may process limited technical information needed to deliver the site, such as device, browser, IP address, and request-log information. We do not use that information for marketing or behavioral advertising.

Information you choose to send

If you email us or call a branch contact listed on the site, you voluntarily provide the information in that communication. We use it to respond to your request and handle the related branch matter. Please do not send sensitive personal, financial, medical, or legal information by email unless necessary and appropriate.

Third-party websites

Some links take you to third-party services, including the national NAACP membership site and YouTube. Those services operate under their own privacy policies; this policy does not govern information you provide after leaving this website.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for targeted advertising or cross-site tracking. Third-party sites you visit through a link may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information you send directly to the branch may be shared only with people or service providers who need it to respond, conduct branch operations, comply with law, or protect rights and safety. We retain communications only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the website changes. For privacy questions, email naacp@yjcwnaacp.org.
